PALS is LIVE!

PALS is LIVE!

The Pioneer Alliance Linkage System (PALS) went into live production on Monday, June 11th.  Each Pioneer group is working through identifying an initial list of Pioneers to be trained to use PALS to manage membership business in PALS (adding new members, updating member contact information, running labels, etc.).

To-date, seven Qwest Pioneers have attended PALS training.  The rest of the company-identified initial end-users will be trained between June 28th and July 27th.  A subsequent group of AT&T Pioneers will attend training at a later date, in August 2007. The initial group of Pioneers attending training in this timeframe are individuals that have been identified as what we are calling “critical” end-users.

These individuals will use PALS on a daily basis to conduct Pioneer membership business.  A second wave of end-users will then be trained, those who have a need to have some interaction with PALS, but not necessarily on a daily basis. Once these two waves of training have been delivered, we will then focus on training for the Volunteer Management module within PALS.

The volunteer management module provides the ability to enter volunteer projects for review and approval by your company or Pioneer group, to search for volunteer opportunities, to sign-up to volunteer at the project(s) of your choice, and to record volunteer hours worked.

The PALS Volunteer Management module will replace the current PTS system. It is our goal to have both modules (Pioneer Maintenance and Volunteer Management) in use by all groups by December 31, 2007.  Special thanks to the members of the PALS User Group for all of their time and effort in ensuring that PALS provides the functionality needed to manage and grow Pioneering.
